An exposure of roughly 1.2 hours in the direction of the celestial North Pole:

This was my first try to take a startrails photo. I took it in the Observatorio del Roque de los Muchachos on the Canary Island of La Palma in March 2017 - well, my camera took it, while I was working (night shift observing wit the MAGIC telescopes). The exposure was 4661 seconds with ISO 200.

What I love about my job? The magic of the night sky... Of course it's exhausting to be on night shift for 3-4 weeks - which in winter basically means hardly seeing the sun from full moon to full moon - but as the observatories are usually in remote places, this also gives me the chance to enjoy wonderful nature and above all the fascinating night sky.
